Mr. Perry Molema

Perry Molema lived in Chatham, Ontario and was employed by Aquascape Designs of Toronto and Chicago. He was a long-time member of Landscape Ontario and former President of the Windsor and Toronto Chapters. A tribute garden was created by his friends who worked with him during his landscaping career. The garden incorporates recycled water features, decorative stones, brick work and ornamental trees.

The Perry Molema Memorial Garden is located at the northwest corner of King and William streets in Zonta Park in Chatham, Ontario. It was designed by friend, Sasha Hunter, and the construction foreman was friend and co-worker Chuck Catton. The project construction crews were volunteers from assorted local business including Dan Garlatti and Darren O’Grady of Garlatti Landscape Inc.

Olivia’s Garden

How we made her dream come true…

Olivia Klingbile heard about the Sunshine Foundation, a charity that helps children. Olivia created a drawing of a place where she could dig; plant a garden; and have a swing to use. Sasha Hunter, landscape designer for Garlatti Landscape, spearheaded the project and helped create a little girl’s dream. In 2011, Olivia’s Garden became a reality.

Starting with seed money from the Sunshine Foundation, over 40 local businesses and companies provided additional funds, materials and volunteers. In a few months, the project was completed, and Olivia?s backyard dream came true. Thank you to everyone who helped; click below to see who they were and images of the project.
